APPOINTMENTS
RTX announced President and COO Christopher T. Calio will succeed Gregory J. Hayes as CEO. Calio was also appointed to the company’s board of directors, overseeing RTX’s three business units and its functions for technology, engineering, enterprise services, digital, operations, quality, supply chain, and environment, health, and safety. In 2023, Calio oversaw the realignment of RTX from four to three business segments: Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Raytheon. Previously Calio was president of Pratt & Whitney.

Peraton appointed Ken Sharp to executive vice president and CFO. He’ll be responsible for Peraton’s financial planning, accounting, government reporting, and internal auditing functions. He’ll also manage Peraton’s external audit and lender relationships. Sharp previously served as executive vice president and CFO at DXC Technology, a global IT services company. Prior to DXC, Sharp was CFO of Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector and is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves, having served in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

Ben FitzGerald has been appointed Rebellion Defense’s new CEO. Previously, FitzGerald was the executive director – Strategy, Data, and Design in the Pentagon’s Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment. FitzGerald also served as a professional staff member on the Senate Armed Services Committee, ran the Technology and National Security Program at the Center for a New American Security, and was the founding managing director for the North American business of Noetic.

CONTRACTS
Huntington Ingalls Inc., Ingalls Shipbuilding Div., is awarded a $36,763,925 modification to previously awarded contract for lifecycle engineering and support for the LPD 17 Class Amphibious Transport Dock Ship Program. Work will be performed in Pascagoula, Mississippi and Norfolk, Virginia, and is expected to be completed in December 2024.

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. is awarded an $8,856,018 firm-fixed-price, definite delivery contract for 30mm MK44 Stretch cannons, with associated spares, tools, and gages as a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract under the FMS program to the Israeli Ministry of Defense. Work will be performed in Mesa, Arizona and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2025.
