X-Bow Systems Inc. announced the appointment of Mike Bender as chief operating officer. Bender will oversee the company’s factories and facilities, supply chain management, quality assurance, and Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) functions. Bender brings more than 30 years of aerospace and defense industry experience to X-Bow, having previously held leadership roles at L3Harris Aerojet Rocketdyne, SpaceX, Alliant Techsystems (ATK), and Orbital Sciences. Chauncey McIntosh

Lockheed Martin has named Chauncey McIntosh vice president and general manager of the F-35 Lightning II Program. McIntosh succeeds Bridget Lauderdale, who will be retiring at the end of the year following a 38-year career with the company. McIntosh recently served as the vice president and deputy of the F-35 program with more than 20 years of business, program management, engineering, and customer engagement experience. McIntosh previously led Lockheed Martin’s Integrated Warfare Systems & Sensors business, which is responsible for Aegis Weapon System software development. Prior to that role, he served as the vice president and general manager for Lockheed Martin’s Training and Logistics Solutions line of business, leading execution and strategic growth of mission readiness and sustainment programs including the F-35. Joe Buzzett

The National Armaments Consortium (NAC) elected Joe Buzzett as Executive Committee (ExCom) chair. The ExCom is made up of representatives from large, small, and university members to represent the more than 1,000 members of the NAC.

The NAC delivers armaments innovation to the Department of Defense (DOD) and brings 1,000+ companies and academic institutions together under several Other Transaction Agreements (OTA).

Buzzett is the chief technology officer at General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, where he’s responsible for developing technology development strategies across the company’s strategic business units.

Buzzett has more than 35 years of experience working for General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems and its predecessors, General Defense, Olin Ordnance, and Primex Technologies. Contracts

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, Orlando, Florida, was awarded a $3,230,277,154 contract for a joint air-to-surface standoff missile and long-range anti-ship missile large lot procurement. This contract provides for the procurement of JASSM Lot 22 and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) missiles. Work will be performed in Orlando, Florida, and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2028.

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control also has been awarded a $358,439,881 contract modification for Lot 8b of long-range anti-ship missiles. The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $1,145,802,536. Alliant Techsystems Operations LLC, Minneapolis, Minnesota, was awarded an $80,643,318 modification contract for M1147 High Explosive Multi-Purpose with Tracer cartridges.
