  • Delivering on Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS), Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW), the Air-Launched Rapid Response Weapon (ARRW) programs
  • Currently employs approximately 2,600 people in Alabama

Austal USA Mobile shipyard expansion in 2024

  • Building the Littoral Combat Ship
  • 369,600 ft2 facility
  • Focus on building submarine modules to support the U.S. Navy’s goal of delivering one Columbia-class and two Virginia-class nuclear subs annually
  • Expected to create 2,000 jobs
  • Combined investments totaling $750 million

IntraMicron Inc. partnership with Auburn University

  • Awarded a $7.6 million contract in September 2024 by the Department of Defense
  • “For the procurement of high-power battery modules in support of the Office of Naval Research”
