7-flute end mills

Available in various lengths of cut, the H-Carb Series 77 coolant-through end mills specialize in deep axial trochoidal and high-speed machining applications. The coolant-through varieties offer better wear, surface finish, and chip evacuation when pocketing or slotting. H-Carb’s specially designed core and flute design improves rigidity and chip flow while reducing deflection. The 7-flute design allows for superior finishes at higher speed and feed rates versus 5- and 6-flute tools.

The expanded H-Carb portfolio features specialized Ti-NAMITE-A or Ti-NAMITE-M coating technology for increased wear and abrasion resistance, extending tool life to tackle a range of materials and applications. The Chip Breaker profile is a standard option with a range of square end and corner radii options offered to meet a variety of machining specifications.

VC collet chuck

For manufacturers looking to minimize common challenges such as vibration, chatter, heat generation, workpiece stability, and tool wear – the VC collet chuck provides runout accuracy, cutting rigidity, high-precision finish, and high-speed rotation. The VC collet chuck is for aggressive milling, high-speed machining, thread milling, and ultra-precision reaming applications.

A design advantage of the VC collet chuck is a TiN bearing nut reducing friction and improving runout accuracy of 3µm at 4x the diameter of the cutting tool. The TiN bearing nut improves surface finish and increases cutting tool life.

Additionally, the 8° internal taper collet and ground ion nitrided thread further improve the accuracy of the tool. With the extended collet and collet compression force being perpendicular to the centerline of the collet bore, runout accuracy is maximized and is another source of gripping strength. Other features include a thick wall design of the VC body providing cutting rigidity and improved dampening. Further, the symmetrical external nut design, without notches, allows for ultra-high-speed rotation of up to G2.5 at 40,000rpm.

Since a collet system is used, tool changeover is faster and less expensive than a tool holding system requiring a machine to insert or extract the cutting tool. The VC collet allows for a wider range of sizes from 0.079" to 0.500", while other toolholder solutions requiring external equipment need a holder for each size of cutting tool. The collet system enables fast and easy tool changes, reducing downtime and increasing productivity in CNC machining.

The VC collet chuck is also available in Taper Plus combining taper accuracy with flange rigidity. Additionally, the VC has coolant-thru capabilities offered in a coolant-thru disc, jet coolant splash, or slotted disc for different applications.

4-fluted speed drill

The 4-fluted Rambo Speed Drill series cuts short chipping material 3x faster than traditional solid carbide tooling. The series is available in standard sizes from 6mm to 20mm, 4XD or 6XD, with thru-coolant or non-coolant fed designs. Standard models feature 4-flute geometry with 30° helix angle for superior chip evacuation, and 130°-point self-centering geometry for precision hole making in materials such as carbon steel, cast iron, grey cast iron, alloys, and other short chipping materials. Manufactured from premium carbide feedstock with the latest generation of CNC grinding machines, each Rambo Speed Drill features a chiseled cutting edge for more precise centering.

Millturn machines

The M30/M35 MILLTURN are multi-talented machines for complex shaft and chuck parts. The machines have a modular concept for customer-specific manufacturing solutions and a solid slant bed made from cast iron. They combine the functionality of a turning machine, a 5-axis turning-boring milling center, and a gear hobbing or deep hole drilling machine, allowing for detailed improvements to the design of various machine components and increased reliability. Both machines feature 4-axis turning, workpiece transfer, and 6-sided machining with a counter spindle variant.

The machines optimize ease of maintenance thanks to improved access to the extendible hydraulics unit and separate cooling unit, the newly designed guide rail covers, and improved access to the tool magazine.

Vertical pick-up lathe

The VL 2 vertical lathe machines workpieces with a maximum diameter of 100mm and features three axes and turret with up to 12 driven tools plus automation. The VL 2 has a chuck with a diameter of 160mm, allowing for workpieces with a maximum diameter of 100mm and a length of 150mm to be processed.

The base of the machine is made of polymer concrete MINERALIT. The work spindle is attached to the front on a cross-slide that carries out the movements in the X- and Z-axis. The turret below the work spindle holds up to 12 turning or driven tools. The VL 2 lathe can also be equipped with a Y-axis in the turret.

The lathes are prepared for use in line production and can be linked using simple automation components such as treadmills, turners, and converters. It’s possible to combine lathes with other modular machines to realize line production. The machining is supplemented by downstream machining on a VL 4 H for gearing and the use of a VLC 100 C for chamfering.

The VL series are now delivered IoT-ready so data analysis on the machines can begin almost immediately.
