Automatic pallet changer
The automatic pallet changer has been quality control tested with more than 250,000 pallet changes before being brought to market. It’s engineered to simplify processes and free machine operators to spend less time waiting and more time preparing.
Pallet changers can be integrated with any new or existing gun and firearm CNC machining center. Machine operators can load, unload, inspect parts, and set up jobs while an alternate pallet is in the machine.

Compact robot
The Robot Compact 80 provides the optimal ratio between numerous magazine positions and a small amount of floor space. The tall, lean design of the robot is suitable for optimal floor space use; one production cell with two machines and a Robot Compact 80 set up requires 2m² of floor space.
With a transfer weight capacity of up to 80kg, it can serve one or two machine tools. Large UPC 320 pallets weighing up to 80kg can be transferred to the machine with precision. The robot provides the machines with a great deal of autonomy as it is lifted pneumatically and can be shifted out of the way on a rail system, freeing access to the machine. The shifting system is a retrofitting option.
The Robot Compact 80 can move up to 11 different pallet sizes for varying workpiece sizes. The magazine levels can be set up precisely to meet requirements. The integrated loading station option makes it easy for big and heavy workpieces to be positioned in the magazine at an ergonomically correct height. While this is taking place, the robot continues working without problems. Extendable magazine levels allow for a comfortable loading/unloading process. The extension of the magazine levels is triggered through the integrated handle positions.
The magazine levels with configurable positioning aid can be set up quickly and easily, depending on the size and shape of the workpiece. The blank part gripper can be quickly and easily configured for other workpiece sizes.

5-axis tool grinder
The FLX 5-axis grinder has been designed with a focus on flexibility, enabling users to modify features to match their grinding needs. The FLX has automation and wheel change features making it well-suited for high-volume, lights-out manufacturing.
Key to the system’s performance is Flexium Pro CNC, the newest control platform from NUM, offering a 10x increase in computing power to streamline operations and reduce power consumption. Additionally, Flexium Pro improves data security while using a smaller electrical panel footprint.
With a grind zone of up to 228mm in length and 20mm in diameter, FLX accommodates a wide variety of tool sizes. It also has two spindle options – a 7kW, 24,000rpm HSK synchronous for general manufacturing or a 15kW, 24,000rpm HSK synchronous for manufacturing, regrinding, and higher rpm applications.
The FLX grinder has an ergonomic design with adjustable features allowing personalized setup to ensure operator comfort. Additionally, the machine can be equipped with modular automation options making field implementation easy while providing for optimal part quantity and wheel changing – accommodating wheels up to 6" in diameter. System flexibility makes it suited for manned or unmanned production.
FLX is designed to be precise and accurate in controlled and uncontrolled climate conditions, giving it broad application across industry, even in harsh environments. It features reduced warmup time, elimination of redundant chiller systems, and 35mm linear carriages for durable machine movement and longevity.
The FLX has a footprint of 72" W x 55" D (94.5" D with the automation model), and a height of 73.3". Machines weigh 7,000 lb (9,000 lb with automation). Other options include a bolt-on tooling rail with T-slot construction, runout minimizer, and a two-wheel changer (for non-automated machines).
