Gantry loaded, single-spindle CNC turning center
The MSR60 is a single-spindle CNC turning center with Y-axis milling capabilities for multitasking machining. With a directly coupled 8,000rpm live tool spindle motor, this machine is engineered to reliably deliver high-speed precision, a compact footprint, and maximum productivity through integrated built-in gantry loader automation.
The MSR60’s compact design and advanced automation capabilities allow for a space-saving layout maximizing productivity per unit of floor space. Because it integrates milling and turning, this machine is suitable for high-mix, low-volume production environments. Like the MWR120, a front-facing horizontal twin-spindle turning center, the MSR60 introduces Y-axis and milling capabilities previously unavailable on a single-spindle machine.
With its automation at its core-based design, the MSR60 CNC turning center has front-facing 6"/8" chucks equipped with a Y-axis. It has a single 10-station turret, an X-axis stroke of 240mm, a Y-axis stroke of ±60mm, a Z-axis stroke of 200mm, and a maximum spindle speed of 6,000rpm.
The MSR60 is 1,555mm x 2,350mm, half the size of the MWR120, but it has 2x the range of motion typical for a turning machine its size.
A key advantage is interconnectivity, allowing each machine to function both independently and in tandem to provide versatile operational capabilities. The MSR60 single-spindle machine and the MWR120 twin-spindle machine can operate independently or together for prolonged periods.
The MSR60 can also be integrated with another twin-spindle machine, enhancing its adaptability. A customer requiring three spindles for optimal cycle time could use two general turning machines for the initial spindles and an MSR60 for the third spindle requiring a Y-axis.

Multi-axis machining centers
Takumi USA, a sister company of Hurco, will introduce the UA400 5-axis machining center at IMTS 2024. Takumi is also bringing an H10 3-axis machining center equipped with a new PC CNC control. H Series machining centers are designed to be dynamic and accurate to deliver high surface finish quality and consistent precision. These machines provide high speed and accuracy thanks to their solid one-piece bed, column, and cross-rail design, high-response axial transmission system, low vibration, and excellent thermal controlled spindle. The H10 has XYZ travels of 40.16" x 27.56" x 19.69", 15,000rpm, direct drive, Big Plus, CAT 40 spindle, and 30-tool automation tool changer (ATC). The H10 will be equipped with Takumi’s PCCNC control, using the FANUC 0i-F Plus as the back-end controller, and running a Windows 10 PC i7 CPU front-end and interface.
