FFG has announced the grand opening of its new North America Technology Center in Sterling Heights, Michigan on October 17-18, 2023. The latest building expansion at the MAG Automotive LLC facility is designed to highlight and demonstrate industry leading machining solutions available from several companies of the global FFG machine tool conglomerate including MAG, SMS, FEELER, LEADWELL, and FFG DMC.
Eighteen machines will be displayed demonstrating vertical and horizontal milling and vertical and horizontal turning solutions for high-speed, die/mold, heavy duty, muti-axis, multi-tasking, and high-volume machining solutions including 2, 3, 4, 4+1, & full 5-axis axis processes.
FFG strategic partners in CNC controls, spindles, robotics, cutting tools, tool holders, rotary tables, probing, workholding, bar feeding, mist collection, high-pressure coolant, and equipment finance will also be displaying and presenting various products and value add machining solutions.
The FFG North America Technology Center will enable distributors, partners, and end users to consult and collaborate with experts, compare different technologies, run test cuts, conduct cycle time analysis, and see FFG’s machines and technologies firsthand.
“The FFG North America Technology Center brings multiple FFG companies together under one roof to best support and service the North America market including machine demonstrations, training, service parts and spindle rebuild and exchange,” says Brian Prina, president of MAG.
