Raytheon, an RTX business
Raytheon, an RTX business was awarded an additional multi-million-dollar contract by the Danish Defence Armed Forces for ELCAN Specter DR dual role sights. The NATO Support Procurement Support Agency (NSPA) is the contracting authority.
The ELCAN Specter DR sight is a direct-view optic that provides close quarters and precision capability in a single sight. The Specter DR sight switches instantly between magnifications, providing the user with "both eyes open" target acquisition while boresight, eye relief and sight picture remain constant.
"The Specter DR dual role sight is battle-proven, enabling soldiers to be more effective on the battlefield," says Mike Lewis, director and general manager at Raytheon ELCAN. "Raytheon ELCAN continues to work with our customers across NATO to deliver rugged, reliable optics that give our allies a competitive advantage when it matters most."
The ELCAN Specter DR optical day sights will replace the ELCAN C79 fixed 3.4x sights.
