Willington Nameplate (WNP) is pursuing the newest hurdle in top-tier cybersecurity certification allowing it to continue to work with clients and bid on new contracts for the aerospace and defense industry.
Established by the U. S. Department of Defense, the path to earn the CMMC designation challenges companies to undertake a rigorous inventory of their quality control processes and make changes as dictated by the regulations. WNP began the process in fall of 2024.
Connecticut aerospace and defense contractors continue to be important clients, and this new cybersecurity prevention model allows business to continue seamlessly. All customers will benefit from stringent quality and safety checkpoints as they ensure parts and processes have been inspected, documented and held to the highest standards. As cybersecurity threats increase worldwide, customers will know that WNP is well-equipped to adapt to any changing regulations and will maintain its compliance to protect their data.
Being proactive about potential data breaches is what led president Brett Greene to mitigate the risk and implement the strictest security controls within their IT infrastructure is what was best for WNP to continue being dedicated to security in its role as a trusted provider of goods and services to the aerospace and defense industries.
“When clients see we’re a CMMC-compliant company, customers will know immediately that they can trust that their information is secure and that the highest level of cybersecurity practices are being met,” states Greene.
